Ling is legally blind.  She has been competing with Team Canada for Para Surfing since 2018. She participates in competitive surfing to bring awareness and support to a platform that allows individuals to showcase their capabilities and resilience. This year, Ling will be heading to Australia for the Australia Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships.
